Introduction to Block Printing Workshop - 17th April 26 - £39 - 166-167 1st Floor, Union Chambers, Lower High Street, Stourbridge, DY8 1TT

This one day workshop will show you the basics of Block Printing onto a Tea Towel.

With fabulous hand carved blocks from around the World, you will be spoilt for choice to create and design your masterpiece.  The specialised paints will be available to choose from with 'Brights' or 'Dusky' colours to suit your decor.

Kim a Taylor'd Crafts Tutor will show you what to do by demonstrating first and give you all the hints, tips and tricks for this amazing and wonderful craft.

You will practice first to feel confident using the fabric, the paints and the blocks and your finished piece will be ready for you to take home and show with pride.

However, don't forget the ironing technique when you get home which will be explained at the Workshop, to ensure your prints last.

Hopefully after this introduction you will want to come onto the 5 weeks course, where you will print onto items such as Cushion Covers, a Scarf and Tote Bag to name just a few.

The Studio is up some stairs but has handrails and is very easily accessible, normal facilities available and light refreshments will be provided for you on the day.

Block Printing is very therapeutic, relaxing, no artistic ability is needed, and more importantly great fun to do.
